The successful candidate will support and process various aspects of the daily operations of the accounting team, which handles the treatment of various types of transactions.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

• Completion of reconciliation, accounting, and reporting activities.
• Participation in quarterly and annual Financial Statements and MD&A.
• Involvement in monthly close processes.
• Preparation of manual journal entries.
• Daily review of trial balance for unusual activity.
• Completion of monthly reconciliations.
• Ensuring compliance with Fairstone processes and internal policies; documenting procedures and processes.
• Participation in operational and financial reporting audits and controls.
• Contributing to process improvement and automation activities.
• Participation in other ad hoc projects as required.

Who Are We Looking For

• University degree in Finance or Accounting.
• CPA certification is an asset.
• At least 6 months relevant experience in accounting.
• Experience working at a large financial institution and a multinational corporation.
• Strong accounting and finance knowledge, ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines.
