What We’re Looking For

The Analyst works closely with the team to provide financial analysis of carrier and client statements, assist in the day-to-day data administration as well as supporting and providing high-level analysis and detailed commentary over their work.

Our Burnaby Still Creek head office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely data for client renewal reports obtained from internal and external sources
  • Conduct renewal analysis and feedback to advisors
  • Identify and implement best practices to continuously improve client administration processes by seeking ways to innovate and enhance current procedures
  • Consolidate client claim history data from multiple providers – work alongside the Analyst team to ensure all pertinent reports are collected from different databases
  • Handle confidential information and data – adhering to HUB’s privacy and confidentiality agreement
  • Provide claims experience reports to ensure clients and their advisors are aware of any upcoming large increases at renewal
  • Assist with preparation of spreadsheets and problem solving related to carrier reports, data provided from external sources and existing spreadsheet templates

Skills, Characteristics & Qualifications

As the successful candidate you will be team oriented, excellent at problem solving and have a strong analytical/numerical mindset.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Specifically Excel)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer/data science is an asset (but not essential)
  • Flexible working style, with an ability to switch in and out of tasks quickly
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under timeline pressure
  • Ability to function under close deadlines with minimal supervision

The expected salary range for this position is $53,000 to $63,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
