About the workplace

This is a 12-month full-time temporary contract with a possibility of extension.

Typical daily responsibilities
  • Review backlog items, prioritize tasks, and update stakeholders.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to the Core Banking System supporting Vancity's financial services.
  • Identify patterns and trends in data to diagnose quality and integrity issues, assessing financial impacts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore solutions and assess impacts.
  • Communicate product development updates to stakeholders and manage risks.
  • Assess system capabilities and translate business needs into technical specifications.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Business, Systems, or Data Analyst.
  • Flexible in balancing priorities and deliverables.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience in documenting requirements.
  • Proficient in statistics, Excel, and SQL.
Preferred additional skills
  • Certifications such as CBAP, AAC, TOGAF, ITIL.
  • Experience with financial systems and knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Familiarity with project methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.
