The Impact You’ll Make and What We’ll Accomplish Together:

The Defined Contribution Analyst will work within our team to provide quality, client-focused administrative services for our corporate clients. This role is primarily remote; however, there will be occasions when you are requested to come into the office for meetings.

What You’ll Do:
  1. Process interfund transfers, contributions, withdrawals, and terminations for clients.
  2. Provide regular and ad hoc reports for clients.
  3. Respond to plan member and client inquiries and requests.
  4. Enter, update, and audit information; perform and proof transactions on in-house software.
  5. Liaise with consultants, trust companies, and investment manager representatives concerning clients’ DC plans.
  6. Perform reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  7. Stay informed of new and existing pension, tax, and securities legislation; share knowledge with the team.
  8. Attend internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends.
  9. Ensure quality control and service standards are met with every transaction.
  10. Understand the client’s perspective and priorities.
  11. Participate in special projects as required.
Qualifications
You're the Missing Piece of the Puzzle:
  1. Excellent English written and oral skills.
  2. Relevant university degree.
  3. 1-2 years of experience in a customer-focused role in the pension industry, with foundational knowledge of provincial pension and tax legislation.
  4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, professional acumen, and initiative to assist clients effectively.
  5. Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Great to haves:
  1. Knowledge of group benefits (defined benefits and defined contributions pension or group insurance).
  2. Completion or ongoing pursuit of a Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) designation.
