The Impact You’ll Make

The Defined Contribution Analyst will provide quality client-focused administrative services for our corporate clients. This role is mostly remote, with occasional in-office meetings.

What You’ll Do

1. Process interfund transfers, contributions, withdrawals, and terminations for clients.
2. Provide regular and ad hoc reports for clients.
3. Respond to plan member and client inquiries.
4. Enter, update, and audit information; perform and proof transactions on in-house software.
5. Liaise with consultants, trust companies, and investment managers regarding DC plans.
6. Perform monthly reconciliations.
7. Stay informed about pension, tax, and securities legislation; share knowledge with the team.
8. Attend training sessions to build industry knowledge.
9. Ensure quality control and service standards are met.
10. Understand client perspectives and priorities.
11. Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications

You're the Missing Piece of the Puzzle

• Excellent English written and oral skills.
• Relevant university degree.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a customer-focused role in the pension industry, with knowledge of provincial pension and tax legislation.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and professional acumen.
• Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking abilities.

Great to Haves

• Knowledge of group benefits or pension/group insurance.
• Progress towards or completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) designation.
