The Opportunity

As an Analyst / Senior Analyst within CBRE Capital’s downtown Toronto office, you will be responsible for every stage of a transaction, working with senior management to provide clients with exemplary outcomes. You will gain exposure to structuring live transactions, and to institutions, developers, owners, partners, and lenders. The role requires strong communication skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and perform financial analysis, due diligence, credit underwriting & modelling, corporate & asset valuation, CMHC applications, market research, and additional analysis as required.
  • Evaluate, structure, and prepare real estate financing opportunities, and compile and draft loan summaries and related marketing materials.
  • Review third-party reports, property income statements, rent rolls, leases, financial statements, loan documents, purchase & sale agreements, and other related items.
  • Assist in managing and coordinating transactions from start to closing, including underwriting, CIM drafting, review of term sheets and commitment documentation, preparation of closing documents, and ongoing communication with borrowers, lenders, and third-party representatives.
  • Study, forecast, and investigate ongoing trends in the real estate and commercial mortgage industry.
  • Support internal operations, including database management and report drafting.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values.
  • Work with high motivation and a demonstrated work ethic within an institutional, fast-paced environment to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Other duties as required.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience); CFA or MBA is an asset.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience, particularly within corporate banking, commercial real estate lending, finance, investment banking, or related areas.
  • Proven experience in real estate credit underwriting, including construction and term financing, with exceptional financial analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); Argus Enterprise and Adobe InDesign are assets.
  • Familiarity with the commercial real estate industry, including asset management, investment, development, and financing concepts.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
