A leading Canadian real estate company is looking for an Analyst, Debt in Calgary or Toronto. You will manage debt for a portfolio of prime commercial properties, conduct financial analyses, and liaise with lenders. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in finance, 2-4 years of experience in real estate finance, and strong analytical skills. Dream is looking for an Analyst, Debt (Calgary or Toronto)!
Join us for an exciting opportunity to support underwriting, origination, and management of Dream’s debt portfolio. You will handle tasks related to land and construction financing, mortgage financing, credit facilities, affordable housing, sustainable finance initiatives, and other capital vehicles within and outside Canada.
You will manage debt for a portfolio of prime commercial properties across various asset classes, including residential, office, industrial, and large-scale developments, within our public entities such as TSX-listed Dream Unlimited Corp, Dream Office REIT, Dream Residential REIT, and Dream Impact Trust, as well as private equity vehicles managed by Dream. Notable projects include Zibi in Ottawa/Gatineau, Alpine Park in Calgary, Brightwater in Port Credit, Quayside in Toronto, Odenak in Ottawa, and Brighton Community in Saskatoon.
This role may be based in Calgary or Toronto and may require occasional travel.
A Day in the Life :
Drive the finance origination, underwriting, and reporting processes for new developments and investments. Collaborate with departments such as Development, Investment, Asset Management, Leasing, and Accounting. Lead complex projects, influence capital stack strategies, and develop loan structures. Maintain risk management processes, monitor pipeline projects, debt maturities, and loan structures to ensure protection of Dream’s interests. Expand your industry knowledge across asset classes and grow professionally.
