Qualifications

By joining our team, you will participate in the analysis and calculations related to the valuation of policy liabilities, by supporting the corporate actuarial team.

Main responsibilities

Actuarial calculations and analyses

1. Participate in the calculation of actuarial reserves according to current standards
2. Perform the collection and analysis of internal data necessary for the various liability calculations
3. Participate in calculations for equity requirements
4. Participate in the preparation of annual budgets
5. Participate in the realization of the company's various experience studies

IT System Updates

1. Continuously update and validate the AXIS assessment system with respect to the coding of parameters used for the assessment of reserves
2. Developing and/or improving IT tools

Technical Support / Internal Customer Service

1. Support other team members in achieving the department's objectives
2. Support other services (risk management, accounting, pricing, administration, etc.) and provide requested data
3. Prepare extracts of force to provide to our retrocessionaries

Requirements and skills

Experience and education

1. University degree in actuarial science or mathematics
2. Have passed at least (2) Society of Actuaries (SOA) examinations
3. Basic knowledge of the insurance and/or reinsurance market

Qualities and abilities

1. Strong organizational skills
2. Ability to work under pressure
3. Excellent programming and data manipulation skills (Excel, Access)
4. Knowledge of AXIS is an asset
5. Team spirit
6. Good command of French and English, oral and written
