What will your typical day look like?
  • Strategy & Policy: You will analyze market trends, support the development of business strategies, and contribute to policy recommendations that drive client success.
  • Finance: You will apply financial analysis and modeling skills to support strategic planning, assess business cases, and deliver actionable insights for client challenges.
  • Tech & Data: You will leverage data analytics, digital tools, and emerging technologies to solve complex business challenges and enable smarter decision-making.
About the team

The M&A & Transactions practice delivers end-to-end services to help clients achieve growth and succession objectives. The team provides high-impact, value-added services through a multi-faceted delivery model and by embedding analytics in everything they do.

Business lines include: Corporate Finance, Transaction Diligence, Execution & Reporting, Deal Transformation & Post Merger Integration, Valuation & Modeling, and Restructuring, Turnaround & Cost Transformation.

We are seeking candidates who:

  • Are working towards completing a post-secondary degree or diploma by September 2026, with outstanding academic credentials.
  • Demonstrate aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as financial analysis or modeling, market research and analysis, project problem diagnosis & solution development.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills (written and verbal), including experience in conducting research, synthesizing data, writing reports, and preparing presentations.
  • Possess excellent problem solving, project management and interpersonal skills and ability to work in an ambiguous environment
  • Have high proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.)
  • Are graduating from October 2025 - August 2026, to be eligible for this role.

For the Strategy & Policy Archetype:

  • Demonstrate critical thinking and strategic analysis skills
  • Have experience researching market trends, policy implications, and competitive landscapes
  • Can synthesize complex information into actionable insights
  • Are strong collaborators and communicators, comfortable presenting findings to stakeholders

For the Finance Archetype:

  • Have a solid foundation in accounting, corporate finance, and financial analysis
  • Demonstrate proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and reporting
  • Have experience supporting transaction execution, due diligence, and financial assessments
  • Are detail-oriented, organized, and adept at working with large data sets
  • Can communicate financial insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • CPA path preferred

For the Tech & Data Archetype:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and digital tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python)
  • Have experience supporting digital transformation, automation, or analytics projects
  • Are comfortable working with large, complex data sets and emerging technologies
  • Can bridge business needs with technical solutions
  • Exhibit curiosity and adaptability, with an interest in evolving tech trends

Quebec Location: We require basic English language skills to meet the needs of our clients. In the context of mandates, you could work for clients with activities outside of Quebec and where the first language is English.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $51,000 - $77,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program. Deloitte is fair and competitive when it comes to salaries and regularly benchmarks across positions, industries, sectors, targets, and levels. Our Total Rewards Package extends beyond traditional compensation and benefit programs to recognize employee contributions, encourage personal wellness, and support firm growth.
