About the workplace

As an Analyst, Commercial Real Estate, you’ll be a key player in driving real estate financing, supporting high-impact lending decisions, and helping build valuable client relationships. Working closely with the Sr. Manager, Business Development, you’ll analyze and evaluate new lending opportunities, prepare prequalification submissions and Letters of Interest, and play a hands-on role in outbound business development.

This permanent, full-time role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity Community Investment Bank head office location and your Ontario-based home office. This role may require you to work in-office at least once a week.

A typical day will involve:

1. Prepare prequalification submissions to credit and Letters of Interest accurately, within lending policy and in a timely manner.
2. Support Sr. Manager Business Development Commercial Real Estate in analyzing and evaluating new lending opportunities.
3. Support Sr. Manager Business Development Commercial Real Estate in outbound business development activities and event preparation.
4. Apply excellent customer service skills to respond quickly to client and broker inquiries, be proactive in reaching out for required documentation and provide a positive point of contact.
5. Other duties as assigned.

You Have

1. Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance or related field.
2. 2-3 years of commercial real estate experience.
3. Knowledge of the Ontario commercial real estate market, and experience and/or strong interest in advancing social purpose and sustainable real estate.
4. Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
5. Experience in commercial credit underwriting and evidence of strong business and financial analytical skills.
6. Strong English communication skills (oral and written).
7. Business banking experience is an asset.
