The location in Montreal , ( Quebec , Canada ), is seeking talent to fill the position of Analyst, Business and Financial Data . This job is full-time permanent .

Overview: Reporting to the Manager, Financial Accounting and Special Projects – Wood Products, you will work closely with the Finance and Sales & Logistics teams, alongside a group of six professionals.

  • Consolidate financial data and management reports from approximately 20 wood product plants to provide a comprehensive and accurate view of the business unit’s performance.
  • Prepare and analyze financial data to support decision-making.
  • Participate in the development of financial forecasts.
  • Prepare financial data required for internal and external audits, as well as various regulatory reviews or inspections.
  • Manage the cost management reporting system used by the business unit.
  • Compile and analyze market data to support business decisions and optimize sales strategies.
  • Develop and update dashboards to monitor performance indicators.
  • Analyze dashboard data to identify and explain variances and propose solutions to support strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and business practices to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and data reliability.

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and solid technical abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both official languages.
  • Strong ability to learn in a dynamic environment.
  • Good communication skills to present analyses and recommendations at various organizational levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to change.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Power BI is an asset.

Your Profile:

  • Bilingual in French and English*.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA designation obtained or in progress.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the wood products industry is an asset.
