This Data Analyst position will support the Investment and Product team at Company by delivering data-driven insights that inform strategic investment decisions and product development. Reporting to the Director, Business Analytics & Insights, this individual will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex investment and product-related data to support initiatives that enhance portfolio performance, product positioning, and market competitiveness. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who is passionate about leveraging data to optimize investment outcomes and guide high-impact business strategies.

Position Summary

This Data Analyst position will support the Investment and Product team at Company by delivering data-driven insights that inform strategic investment decisions and product development. Reporting to the Director, Business Analytics & Insights, this individual will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex investment and product-related data to support initiatives that enhance portfolio performance, product positioning, and market competitiveness. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who is passionate about leveraging data to optimize investment outcomes and guide high-impact business strategies.

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, organize, and analyze investment-related data, including fund flows, portfolio performance, market trends, and product usage, to uncover insights that inform investment strategy and product development.
  • Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards for investment leadership, highlighting product performance, benchmark comparisons, asset allocation trends, and client segment behaviors.
  • Insights for Investment Decision-Making: Provide data-driven insights to support portfolio construction, product positioning, and competitive analysis, helping to refine investment strategies and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Data Quality and Integrity: Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure data accuracy and consistency across investment datasets, performing regular validations and resolving data issues as needed.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct targeted analyses to support strategic initiatives, evaluate investment hypotheses, and answer specific questions posed by the Investment and Product teams or senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related area.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or Risk and Portfolio analytics, preferably within a financial services or B2B environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to interpret data and create actionable insights.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to data accuracy and ability to work with large data sets to ensure data quality.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear and impactful way for business stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive problem-solver with the ability to think critically and provide data-driven solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in asset management or a related financial services field.
