Job summary

CIBC in Toronto is seeking an Analyst, Business Analytics to build reporting, dashboards, and tailored insights that support informed decision-making for client account management. You’ll collaborate with internal partners and balance multiple initiatives with accuracy and service.

You’ll apply skills in Alteryx, Power Automate, Excel, SAS, and SQL, develop automation, and help create a data-driven client experience in a hybrid work model that includes 1–3 days on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience building reports, dashboards, and self-serve data workflows.
• Ability to integrate data from multiple sources and provide insights.
• Familiarity with Alteryx, Power Automate, SAS, and SQL is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Create reports, dashboards, and business commentary highlighting performance, trends, successes, and opportunities for improvement.
• Apply advanced analytics including time-series forecasting, regression analysis, and classification methodologies to deliver meaningful insights.
• Lead end-to-end automation of scheduled reporting and workflows from data prep to output.
• Partner with teams across the business to communicate analysis, insights, and recommendations.
• Explore and adopt new tools to support faster, more accurate delivery and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

As a member of the Client Account Management Business Integration team, you'll work in a fast-paced banking operations and collections environment where you'll make a meaningful difference in our clients' lives. As an Analyst, Business Analytics, you'll build strong relationships with internal partners, understand their business reporting needs, and deliver tailored business intelligence insights that support informed decision-making. You'll create meaningful reporting and analysis that helps teams understand performance, identify opportunities, and improve outcomes. In this role, you'll support multiple initiatives at once, balancing competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and service. You'll also help enhance reporting processes and contribute to a more efficient, data-driven client experience.

How You'll Succeed

• Reporting and analysis - Create reports, dashboards, and business commentary that highlight performance, trends, successes, and opportunities for improvement. Use data to uncover patterns and provide insights that help partners make informed, data-driven decisions.
• Advanced analytics - Apply and continue developing your skills in advanced analytics, including time-series forecasting, regression analysis, and classification methodologies, to deliver more meaningful business insights.
• Automation - Lead end-to-end automation of scheduled reporting and workflows, from data preparation and cleanup to final output and presentation. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen reporting accuracy.
• Relationship building - Partner with teams across the business to build collaborative relationships, provide subject matter expertise, and clearly communicate analysis, insights, and recommendations.
• Leveraging technology - Explore and adopt new tools that support faster, more accurate delivery. Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to team automation goals and continuous improvement.

Who You Are

• You can demonstrate experience in Alteryx, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Excel macros, SAS, and Structured Query Language (SQL) to build, maintain, and improve reporting and self-serve data workflows. It's an asset if you hold a certification in Alteryx or Power Automate.
