Dream is looking for an Analyst, Income Properties – Asset Management

We are always seeking the best talent to join our thriving community. Dream’s Western Canada Development Team is currently hiring an Analyst to support the growing Income Properties portfolio in Western Canada.

Who Are You?

We seek a candidate who is both office and site oriented. You should have a strong understanding of real estate financials, solid MS Excel skills, and experience working with commercial/multi-family investments or asset management. You are a critical thinker with attention to detail, capable of compiling large data sets and well-organized. The analyst will support the Development team throughout the project cycle, including market research, financial analysis, and creating reports, presentations, and business plans to add value to the portfolio. Additionally, this role involves supporting property management operations to optimize assets and enhance tenant experience.

What will you do?

Primary responsibilities include:

  1. Coordinate action items within the Income Properties portfolio under the Senior Manager, Development.
  2. Oversee asset management responsibilities for Dream’s Income Properties in Western Canada.
  3. Conduct market and sub-market research for development opportunities.
  4. Prepare financial underwritings and backup data for projects.
  5. Create and manage monthly KPI reports and support data collection.
  6. Coordinate with property managers and development teams during financing, onboarding, lease-up, and operations.
  7. Assist in preparing reports for senior management and the board.
  8. Track performance metrics and prepare reports for teams.
  9. Support internal quarterly valuation processes and third-party appraisals.
  10. Help establish annual business plans and budgets with property managers.
  11. Maintain revenue management strategies.
  12. Support asset management strategies for Income Properties.
  13. Attend meetings and execute action plans.
  14. Maintain portfolio databases.

What experience do you need?

Ideal candidates will have:

  1. 3-5 years of experience in real estate property or asset management.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or real estate.
  3. Strong technical skills in real estate financial analysis and data manipulation using Excel.
  4. Experience with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Experience managing real estate budgets.
  7. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across management levels.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
