Job Title:
AMS Senior Support, Maintenance, and Development .NET Resource

Job Location: Regina,SK

Description:

The successful Senior Resource candidate will:

1. Work within the Digital, Technology and Security – Application Management and Support (AMS) team.

2. Have the ability to work as part of a larger team as well as independently.

3. Have proven ability to switch focus quickly, learn new skills, and effectively prioritize work items, with minimal direction.

4. Have the ability to troubleshoot and work through complex technical issues.

5. Develop and maintain good documentation.

6. Have proven ability to transfer knowledge.

7. Participate in and perform code reviews.

8. Mentor junior and intermediate resources.

9. Identify and assist in the coordination of ongoing maintenance tasks, i.e., application and database server upgrades.

10. Work as a project team member in the role of operational acceptance lead ensuring that projects delivered from our Project Delivery Office are transitioned to Operations effectively.

11. Work closely with business and other DT&S team members on a day-to-day basis to address production support issues as well as changes and enhancements to existing applications.

12. Follow SaskEnergy’s established change management processes

The proposed Senior Resource candidate(s) must have the following skills listed below to be considered:

1. Must have development experience using C# .Net or Java

2. Must have database scripting experience using SQL Server 2012 or higher or Oracle 10g or higher

3. Must have Visual Studio experience

4. Must have experience with modern Web APIs (REST & SOAP)

5. Must have experience using IIS

6. Must have development experience using Angular, TypeScript and/or JavaScript

7. Must have a recognized bachelor’s degree or Technical Diploma in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline

The key skills and knowledge areas required for the Senior Resource are outlined in attached Appendix C – Supplementary Specifications. The Resource must be able to perform in a team environment with strong interpersonal and professional communication skills. North American job experience is considered an asset for this proposal. Proponents are encouraged to provide specific and qualitative verbiage of other areas where their expertise can add value to our teams and make our projects as successful as possible.

The preference for start date is as soon as possible. The initial term for this role(s) will conclude March 31, 2024, after which SaskEnergy will evaluate its’ ongoing requirements and potentially extend the term for this resource in accordance with the terms and conditions of the proponent’s Technology Master Service Agreement (TMSA).

SaskEnergy’s preference is for the Resource to be able to work and be located full-time on site at SaskEnergy Head Office in Regina, SK (Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm CST). However, SaskEnergy would be willing to negotiate remote work, with on-site visits. The proposed hourly rate shall be inclusive of all travel and living costs (PST and GST are extra).

CONTRACT DURATION

The Contract(s) will be effective for an initial term commencing on the date of award and ending on March 31, 2024. The Contract(s) will automatically renew for successive one (1) year terms, a maximum of four (4) times
