Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking AML Analysts to join a growing financial team supporting a leading Canadian financial institution. This role focuses on AML investigations, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity detection, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has experience reviewing AML alerts, analyzing transactional activity, identifying potential money laundering risks, and documenting investigative findings in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year AML investigation or transaction monitoring experience within a bank or financial institution.
• Experience analyzing transactional data and identifying suspicious activity.
• Strong understanding of AML concepts, typologies, and the three stages of money laundering.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to clearly document investigative findings and STR narratives.
• Experience working in a high-volume, metrics-driven investigations environment.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple investigations simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Review and investigate AML alerts and suspicious activity cases.
• Analyze transactional activity to identify unusual patterns, red flags, and money laundering indicators.
• Conduct low to moderate complexity AML investigations.
• Support Suspicious Transaction Report (STR) preparation and documentation as required.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and well-supported case narratives and investigation summaries.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal AML procedures.
• Meet daily productivity and quality targets, managing approximately 6-8 cases per day.
• Collaborate with compliance and financial teams to support ongoing investigative efforts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mississauga, ON.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
