Position Overview

This academic position, part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA), is based at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. It involves clinical, research, and educational responsibilities in Gastroenterology, with a focus on hepatology, transplant hepatology, and Alcoholic liver disease.

Responsibilities

  • Educational administration, program development, and curriculum development (at least 30% of protected time)
  • Clinical work and research to enhance the division’s services and academic output

Qualifications

  • MD (or equivalent) with certification in Gastroenterology
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
  • Additional training in hepatology, specifically in transplant hepatology and Alcoholic liver disease
