The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Medicine, in partnership with Alberta Health Services, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Associate or Full Professor level for a clinician-scientist.
The successful candidate will be a leader in cardiovascular health sciences with expertise in translational sciences, clinical trials, epidemiology, or related fields. They will hold the Canadian VIGOUR Centre (CVC) Chair in Cardiovascular Science and will receive substantial research and infrastructure support to develop an independent, world-leading research program.
Established in 1997, the CVC is dedicated to advancing cardiovascular health through pioneering research, clinical trials, patient registries, and population studies. It is internationally recognized for its contributions to cardiovascular medicine.
The position includes clinical service, teaching responsibilities, and a contingent tenured appointment in the Department of Medicine. Compensation is based on the AMHSP scale, commensurate with experience.
