Job summary

Cascade Aerospace Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Learner to perform aircraft maintenance, repairs, and overhauls, completing related documentation per industry standards and Cascade policies.

This position belongs to the bargaining unit and requires immediate Controlled Goods clearance; Canadian Residents or Permanent Residents only. The role offers a relocation package for qualifying candidates and benefits after enrollment in the collective agreement.

Qualifications

  • Fluent written and verbal English; strong communication.
  • Basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, databases.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, maintenance, repair and modification of aircraft or systems.
  • Ability to maintain approved quality control standards.
  • Safe work practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair and overhaul aircraft per customer check packages.
  • Ensure documentation complies with Transport Canada regulations and policies.
  • Adhere to Cascade Aerospace health, safety and HR policies.
  • Perform duties in accordance with company SOPs and CPS.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for repairs.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job Description

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - (AME M) Learner performs aircraft mechanical maintenance, repairs and overhauls and completes the associated documentation in accordance with industry standards, and Cascade Aerospace policies and procedures.

This position belongs to the bargaining unit and shall abide by all rules and regulations set out in the Collective Agreement. This position requires immediate Controlled Goods clearance, therefore, only Canadian Residents or Permanent Residents will be considered at this time.

Major Responsibilities & Duties
  • Strive to consistently act in a manner in which reflects Cascade Aerospace's culture and values
  • Ensure all repairs/modifications and tasks are performed in accordance with the customer's check package
  • Ensure all paperwork, documentation and reporting associated with a repair is completed accurately and in accordance with Transport Canada Regulations (CARS), Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM), Quality Control Procedures (QCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Process Standards (CPS), and all maintenance, manufacturing and policy manuals
  • Ensure all work tasks are performed in accordance with Cascade Aerospace health and safety policies and procedures
  • Be familiar with and ensure that all workplace conduct is in accordance with Cascade Aerospace's Human Resources attendance, safety and security policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as required
Core Skills
  • Good communication skills: fluent written and verbal English is mandatory

  • Specific knowledge of manufacturing, maintenance, repair and modification of aircraft or systems and components in the areas of Mechanics
  • Ability to ensure that approved standards of Quality Control are maintained

Education
  • Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (approved by TCA or the applicable governing body)
Experience
  • 0-48+ months' experience performing AME duties
Compensation Data

$26.05 - $33.98/hr
