The Avon Maitland District School Board is currently accepting applications for both permanent and temporary Designated Early Childhood Educator positions at various locations. Please note that not all locations currently have openings, but additional sites may become available as staffing continues.
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, 10 months per year
Compensation Package Details
Rate of Pay: $26.80 - $33.80 per hour plus 4% vacation pay as outlined in the OSSTF-ESSP Collective Agreement as of September 1, 2025.
Pension Plan: Defined pension plan through the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS)

Under the direction of the Principal, the DECE will work in collaboration with the classroom teacher to plan and provide an effective program and environment to support enhanced learning and development for Kindergarten students in a full-day program.
