ELEMENTARY OCCASIONAL TEACHER

LONG-TERM ASSIGNMENT

Assignment: 1.0 FTE - Grade 3/4 (0.50 FTE) & FSL (0.5 FTE)

Candidates with FSL qualifications, experience, or willingness to teach FSL will be considered for this position. Candidates with FSL qualifications and/or experience will be given preference.

Compensation Package Details

Daily Rate of Pay: $285.49-$603.24 per day, as outlined in the ETFO - OT Collective Agreement; prorated based on FTE accordingly.

Pension Plan: Defined pension plan through Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan ()

Required Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers or have their transitional certificate from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Must hold the required divisional qualifications, as noted above, to be eligible for this position;
  • Demonstrated experience in the assigned duties of a teacher as outlined in;
  • Proven ability to maintain discipline in the classroom (classroom management);
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment;
  • Experience working with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) products;

Note – a Criminal Reference Check is part of the requirement process.
