ALUMNAE RELATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Purpose of the Position
The Alumni Relations and Development Manager is responsible for stewarding and growing the base of alumni involvement with RKA as well as others who generously support RKA. RKA’s greatest strength is its proud alumni base. With over 100+ years of history, this position is key to maintaining the ongoing connection between the RKA of today and that of those who have proudly graduated.

Responsibilities Include:
Develops overall strategies for alumni relations and create relationships with alumni, inviting them to continue to engage with the RKA community

Qualify and cultivate alumni donors with a primary focus on unrestricted giving, with the goal of increasing the donor’s support to leadership and major gift levels.

Increase alumni giving by fostering a culture of philanthropy and inspiring our alumni to support the RKA mission.
Execute Reunion Year activities and giving

Develop and manage data systems to track alumni engagement and outcomes and ensure data is current and accurate

Ensure timely and appropriate information is communicated with alumni

Work closely with Advancement Team at RKA to ensure short and long-term fundraising success

Cultivate alumni relationships that develop into volunteer engagement and donors

• Include strategies to engage alumni in annual giving

• Include strategies to engage alumni in volunteer recruitment

• Include strategies to engage alumni in donor events

• Create and support alumni-centered communications tools such as newsletters, LinkedIn, social media, etc.

Ensure timely gift processing and acknowledgement letters.

Manager Gala event software including guest registration, auction item tracking, and guest information.

Ensure excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction

Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality

Work collaboratively to support the direction and goals of the Advancement Team.
