The Treasury Analyst plays a key role in managing the organization’s liquidity, cash flow, and treasury operations. This position supports day-to-day cash management, maintains accurate cash flow forecasts, administers banking transactions, and contributes to the effective management of financial risk.

Key Responsibilities
Cash Management and Liquidity Oversight
  • Oversee daily cash management activities and support the organization’s liquidity requirements.
  • Maintain and update cash flow forecasts, taking ownership of forecast accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain timely and accurate information regarding expected cash inflows and outflows.
  • Ensure the Treasury Management System (Kyriba) is updated accurately and on a timely basis to maintain high-quality data and support decision-making.
  • Provide clear and meaningful reporting and supporting detail for management review.
  • Create/review outgoing wire payments, ensuring appropriate documentation, approvals, and supporting information are provided prior to release.
  • Complete daily bank account and cheque reconciliations.
Cash Forecasting and Analysis
  • Prepare, analyze, and report cash flow forecasts and liquidity positions to management.
  • Monitor forecast performance through regular variance analysis of forecasted versus actual cash flows.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve cash visibility and forecast accuracy.
  • Monitor and track updates to forecasts to support short and long-term liquidity planning.
  • Recommend process enhancements and best practices that improve forecasting efficiency and reliability.
Treasury Operations
  • Prepare and execute banking documentation related to borrowing and repayment activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of treasury and banking documentation.
  • Complete banking and vendor account documentation as required.
  • Administer the company’s Letter of Credit portfolio, including issuance, renewals, amendments, utilization monitoring, and record maintenance.
  • Support treasury projects, system enhancements, process improvements, and internal control initiatives.
Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal business partners to support treasury objectives.
  • Foster strong relationships with banking partners and other external service providers.
Education and Experience
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of cash management, cash forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two to five years of experience in Treasury, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and interest in capital markets, foreign exchange, interest rates, and economic trends, and seeks to understand their implications for the company's liquidity, financing, and risk management strategies.
  • Experience working with banking platforms.
  • Experience with a Treasury Management System (Kyriba).
  • Strong Excel modeling skills, including the ability to develop, maintain, and analyze financial models to support treasury decision-making.
  • Progress toward, or completion of, a professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA, or CTP) and/or a graduate degree such as an MBA would be considered an asset.
