AltaGas - Sr Business Analyst, Infrastructure

We’re seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you’ll help shape the long-term direction of our business by analyzing performance, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting the development of forward-looking strategies. If you’re passionate about market research, emerging technologies, and making data-driven decisions, we want to hear from you.

You will :

• Support strategic planning and long-term business development through data analysis, market research, and stakeholder engagement.
• Conduct in-depth industry research, focusing on core utility operations and emerging low-carbon technologies.
• Contribute to high-impact strategic initiatives, including presentations to the board and executive committee.
• Lead and monitor the execution of strategic projects, identifying risks and ensuring timely progress.
• Deliver clear, compelling presentations and updates to senior leadership and the Board.
• Provide project analysis, including tracking timelines, resources, and risks.

You have :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, strategy development, or related roles.
• Minimum of 5 years working in the Infrastructure or Cybersecurity space, or 7 years of combined experience across both domains.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to build compelling business cases.
• Experience in strategic scenario analysis, M&A evaluation, or strategy consulting is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; knowledge of BI tools is an asset.
• Familiarity with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) and Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
• A balance of big-picture thinking and attention to detail.
