Job summary

AltaGas is seeking a Relief Operator for the Pipestone Facility near Grande Prairie, AB. You will support the full-time operations staff by performing plant readings, equipment checks, safety equipment inspections, and assist with daily tasks during rotating 12-hour shifts (7 days on/7 days off).

You will assist with lockout and purging for maintenance, changing filters, pigging pipelines, and with safe work permits.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• 4th Class Power Engineering certificate or actively pursuing it.
• Ability to work under limited supervision.
• Positive attitude and desire to learn.

Responsibilities

AltaGas - Relief Operator, Pipestone Facility

We are currently seeking a Relief Operator for our Pipestone Facility located near Grande Prairie, AB. This position will work with our full-time operations staff to provide added support, ensuring operational activities are conducted in a safe and effective manner.

The shift schedule for this facility is 7 days on, 7 days off, rotating night/day shift, 12 hours per day.

You will:

• Take Plant readings and perform equipment checks
• Safety equipment checks
• Assist Plant Operators in daily tasks such as locking out and purging equipment for maintenance, changing filters, and pigging pipelines.
• Assist with the safe work permitting for maintenance tasks.
• Assist with safe preparation and lockout of equipment for maintenance.

You have:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering certificate or working towards it
• Ability to work under limited supervision
• A positive attitude and desire to learn
