AltaGas - Production Accountant, Midstream Finance

Perform daily gas plant allocations to accurately forecast volumes of Ethane to Sales and Gas to Sales lines.
Manage CSO (Control System Operator) duties for the plant.
Conduct monthly allocations of gas and products for assigned properties.
Prepare Ethane splits, gas splits, and liquids allocations to pipelines.
Ensure accurate and timely allocation of gas and products.
Allocate liquid revenue to customers.
Complete volumetric and regulatory reporting to appropriate agencies.
Analyze property data, including metering discrepancies, shrinkage, and gas composition.
Invoice customers for services rendered.
Enhance contractual understanding of assigned properties.
Support accounts receivable collections
3-5 years of experience in production accounting
Understanding of production accounting processes, gas plant allocations and midstream business
Knowledge of Petroleum Registry (Petrinex)
Affinity for using various applications with minimal instruction (Petrotranz, JDE, FFVM, Power BI)
A curious, analytical mindset with a drive to investigate and resolve
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize under pressure with minimal supervision
Flexibility to work outside regular hours to meet deadlines — with time off in lieu
Excellent communication skills and comfort working with diverse stakeholders
A university degree in Business, Accounting, or a related discipline
Interest in or progress toward a CAPPA designation (a big plus!)
