AltaGas is seeking a Junior Project Portfolio Analyst to join the Project Excellence team. You will support budgeting, forecasting, data management, and reporting for the capital portfolio across finance, engineering, supply chain, project management, and business development.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in finance, accounting, economics, business, data analytics, engineering, or related discipline.
• 0–3 years in financial analysis, project controls, business analysis, reporting, data analytics, or related field.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, Microsoft Fabric, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power BI Copilot, or Power Automate is an asset.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with large datasets from multiple sources.
• Exposure to enterprise systems like JDE, Oracle, SAP, or PeopleSoft beneficial.

Job Description

AltaGas - Junior Project Portfolio Analyst

The Junior Project Portfolio Analyst will join our Project Excellence team and support the financial analysis, reporting, resource planning, and data management of our capital project portfolio.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build experience in project portfolio management, financial analysis, business intelligence, and workforce planning. You’ll work with teams across Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Business Development to turn project data into meaningful insights that support business decisions.

You Will

You Have

• A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 0-3 years of experience in financial analysis, project controls, business analysis, reporting, data analytics, or a related field. Recent graduates with relevant internship, co-op, or project experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, Microsoft Fabric, or similar reporting and visualization tools is an asset.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power BI Copilot, or Power Automate is an asset.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work with large datasets and information from multiple sources.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Exposure to enterprise systems such as JDE, Oracle, SAP, or PeopleSoft is beneficial but not required.
