AltaGas - Joint Venture & Contract Analyst

We’re looking for a Joint Venture & Contract Analyst to join our dynamic Midstream Finance team. This is your chance to be part of a growing operation where your work will directly support critical audits, evolving partnerships, and strategic decision-making.

What You'll Do:

1. Lead and manage internal and external Joint Venture audits, ensuring documentation is complete and responses are timely.
2. Provide administrative support for Joint Venture partnerships and assist with evolving business needs.
3. Review and interpret contractual agreements, ensuring compliance across departments.
4. Prepare and enter accurate accounting entries for midstream assets in line with US GAAP.
5. Support the monthly invoicing process, including maintaining contract terms in the invoicing system.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and report data.
7. Build strong relationships across departments and act as a strategic partner.
8. Recommend improvements to audit policies and procedures.
9. Deliver ad hoc financial and operational analysis as needed.
10. Develop a strong understanding of the business to effectively explain Joint Venture relationships.

Who You Are:

1. 5+ years of experience in Joint Venture administration or operational accounting.
2. Strong understanding of Joint Venture audits—especially operational audits.
3. Background in Midstream or energy sector preferred.
4. Comfortable with Power BI, Excel, and ideally JD Edwards.
5. Detail-oriented, proactive, and a natural collaborator.
6. PJVA Joint Venture Administrator Certificate is a plus.
