AltaGas - Analyst, Energy Exports

Join AltaGas's dynamic Energy Exports team as an Analyst, where you'll play a crucial role in managing the waterborne movements of LPG from the West Coast of North America to Asia. If you excel in logistics, financial analysis, and stakeholder collaboration, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Job Description
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (export terminals, traders, commercial team, operations, finance) to ensure commercial commitments are met.
  • Support marine logistics and scheduling, including freight and demurrage calculations and follow-up.
  • Track and report costs for marine logistics, monitor KPIs, and forecast terminal inventory and product flows.
  • Schedule product flows and intercompany movements within internal reporting systems.
  • Assist traders in contract execution, manage contract tracking, and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Communicate effectively with third parties (refineries, customers, agents, brokers, terminal representatives, inspectors).
  • Provide information for management decision-making and develop economic models for projects.
  • Support accounting in reviewing revenues and costs, and build relationships with key stakeholders.
You have:
  • Relevant degree in Commerce, Economics, Supply Chain, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 1-5 years of Energy Industry experience; rail/scheduling knowledge and accounting/finance experience are assets.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including financial modeling), Word, Outlook; experience with Allegro ETRM is an asset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Motivated individual able to contribute both individually and as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
