AltaGas Ltd. is seeking a Midstream Finance Co-op Student in Calgary to gain hands-on experience across finance and accounting functions within the Midstream business.

You will work with experienced professionals on meaningful projects and daily tasks that develop analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills relevant to energy finance. The role involves supporting financial reporting, month-end processes, and journal entries, with mentorship and networking opportunities to enhance learning

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate program in a related field.
• Proficient in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of finance and accounting activities across AltaGas' Midstream business.
• Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and month-end accounting processes.
• Help prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial documentation.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances and trends.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Commercial teams to support business objectives.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects.
