Workplace Arrangements

This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Ottawa Head Office, on Walkley Road 1 day a week for an 8-5 schedule.

What You'll Be Doing

• Optimize Beauty Deal Buy Product Allocation: Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and store performance to ensure the right mix of beauty and personal care products is distributed effectively across locations.
• Develop & Execute Shipping Plans: Create weekly allocation plans based on sales trends, store demographics, and inventory optimization to drive profitability.
• Monitor Inventory Performance: Track and interpret store-level stock levels, ensuring availability aligns with demand while minimizing overstock and stockouts.
• Facilitate the beauty "push" program - an allocation system based on warehouse on-hands and individual store sell through. Identify opportunities to streamline & improve
• Support Promotional & Seasonal Planning: Assist in the planning and execution of beauty-focused promotions, store events, and seasonal launches, ensuring proper product allocation.
• Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with Stores, Merchandising, and Distribution Centers to resolve inventory challenges and streamline product flow.
• Forecast & Identify Business Opportunities: Use data-driven insights to predict category performance, identify emerging beauty trends, and provide strategic recommendations for growth.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• A College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Retail, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Work Experience: 1-3 years of experience in allocation, merchandising, supply chain, or inventory planning, preferably in the retail industry
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, inventory reports, and market trends to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities to optimize store-level product allocations.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to work with business analytics tools.
• Keen interest in Beauty products

• Attention to detail to ensure precise inventory management and allocation
• Problem-solving skills to adapt strategies based on real-time market changes
• Business acumen with an understanding of beauty trends, product lifecycles, and consumer purchasing behavior
• Adaptability & agility to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
• Experience working with retail analytics tools and inventory management systems
• Background in a fast-growing discount retail or high-volume retail environment is an asset
• Prior experience in beauty retail or cosmetics merchandising is highly beneficial
