As the Allocation Analyst, you will contribute to Laura’s success by managing and allocating merchandise to stores for a division/category. Using the merchandising system and various software technologies, the Allocation Analyst will ensure optimal inventory levels in stores to maximize sales and margins.

How will you support the team?

  • Determine the ideal merchandise profile to meet the company's financial objectives.
  • Review and analyze weekly store performance and inventory levels; take actions to maximize opportunities.
  • Develop analysis tools in partnership with other departments to ensure store needs are fulfilled and processes are efficient.
  • Allocate new arrivals based on assortment plans, sales trends, and store needs.
  • Review style performance weekly and react as needed.
  • Replenish sold goods through replenishment and inventory balancing systems.
  • Review transfer opportunities for in-season products and execute accordingly, considering store capacity and sales needs.
  • Collaborate with Planning and Buying for repeat order quantities and size runs based on styles and store performance.
  • Regularly collaborate with buying to review assortment strategies for upcoming collections.
  • Attend monthly meetings with the Allocation Manager to review current and upcoming strategies that evolve with business needs.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field is an asset.
  • Experience in retail is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Merchandise Systems is an asset.
  • Ability to analyze and understand quantitative data.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
