DMC is currently looking for an Alimak Miner in Sudbury, ON. This position will be responsible for reporting to the Alimak Raise. The primary role for this position will be to maintain and construct underground installations. The Alimak Miner will specialize in handheld drill operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Construct and maintain underground installations/work platforms.
2. Scale loose rock, drill, load, and blast rock.
3. Read, interpret, and follow mine plans in a safe manner.
4. Follow rules related to safety standards and practices, reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to a Supervisor.
5. Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment.
6. Conduct pre-start checks of work area and equipment.
7. Practice good housekeeping (maintaining a clean work area, storage of materials and spare parts).
8. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

1. 2-5 years experience as an Alimak Raise Miner.
2. Ontario Basic Common Core Modules (770010).
3. Ontario Common Core Specialty Modules for Alimak Raise U0064.
4. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
5. Sound knowledge, skills, and experience in the operation of machinery.
6. Proven ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
7. Able to work rotation day and night shifts.
