Job summary

Hypertec seeks a Construction Project Manager for mission-critical projects in Alberta. You will manage the full construction lifecycle, coordinate with clients, architects, engineers and contractors, and ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in commercial/industrial construction, strong English communication, and proven negotiation and scheduling skills. Work location is Alberta with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of commercial and industrial construction project planning experience.
• Solid working knowledge of current construction regulations and plan reading.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong English oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Proven customer orientation.
• Ability to identify and seek needed information.
• Exceptional project scheduling and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full construction project lifecycle from planning to completion.
• Meet with clients, architects, engineers, and design personnel to establish plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate resources and track progress against timelines and budgets.
• Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Act as liaison between client and project team on changes or problems.
• Select, negotiate with, and coordinate vendors, contractors, or sub-contractors.
• Manage materials and delivery scheduling for assigned projects.
• Track and report progress and deliver reports to management.
