Job summary

Stantec in Vancouver, BC is seeking an experienced Airport Project Manager to lead airfield infrastructure projects across Western Canada. You will act as engineer of record and project manager, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delivering design, planning, and construction support for airports.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, P.Eng, 7+ years in airport civil infra, 5+ years in project management, and familiarity with FAA/ICAO standards. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• P.Eng license in BC and/or Alberta or in progress to obtain.
• 7+ years of professional experience in airports civil infrastructure engineering.
• 5+ years of project management experience on airport projects.
• PMP certification is an asset.
• Familiarity with FAA design standards (TP 312) and ICAO.
• MS Office, especially Word and Excel; scheduling software like MS Project/Primavera.
• Eligible for federal security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and organize project design development and production delivery.
• Lead a team of multiple disciplines and consultants.
• Address issues to reach optimal solutions following protocol.
• Manage budget, codes and jurisdictional requirements.
• Onsite construction observation support.
• Build client/owner relationships and pursue new business.
