Driver - Airport Luggage Truck

PWTransit is expanding our operations in British Columbia and are currently seeking a casual driver to join our team. The successful candidate would be responsible for operating our luggage truck to and from the airport.

The schedule for this position is 3-4 shifts per week. Shifts can fall between Monday to Sunday (approximately 3-hour shifts).

This is also the perfect opportunity for someone interested in becoming a Transit Driver – license upgrade training will be offered to those interested in furthering their career with the company.

Wage : $24.90 per hour

Position Requirements :

• Class 4 or Class 5 driver’s license
• Must be willing to work on weekends
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Driver’s abstract with no more than 3 demerit points
• Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening
• Clear criminal record
• Must be organized, punctual and reliable
• Possess excellent driving skills and habits
• Ability to read maps and navigate
• Ability to communicate effectively
• A good knowledge of the local area is a definite asset

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Safely operate luggage truck; follow transit buses to and from airport
• Load and unload passenger luggage
• Drive safely and responsibly and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions
• Provide superior customer service and assist with passenger questions / inquiries
