Requirements And Description

Essential Functions

  • Manage ramp and baggage operations, including aircraft movement, baggage handling, towing, and cargo.
  • Handle equipment and supplies: allocate, track, order, receive, sign out.
  • Conduct coaching related to equipment use and task assignments.
  • Coordinate ground service equipment with maintenance.
  • Monitor aircraft movements for potential issues and develop proactive solutions.
  • Work with airline partners to ensure safety and performance standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs on tools.
  • Address challenges in baggage movement, including scanning, delays, disputes, etc.
  • Participate in shift briefings, outline challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide operational feedback and solutions to airline management.
  • Monitor upcoming flights for potential issues and plan accordingly.
  • Suggest staffing adjustments to the Duty Manager.
  • Create and update crew schedules.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • At least one year of airline operations experience preferred.
  • Experience in ground operations and inventory control is an asset.
  • Ability to recognize and address operational challenges promptly.
  • Proficient in PC applications, task and inventory software, Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Able to work shifts, including weekends and AM/PM shifts.
  • Must hold or obtain a Restricted Area Pass.
  • Effective communication skills via radio, telephone, etc.
  • Ability to influence and communicate at all levels.
