Job summary

SSP Canada, operating at Toronto Pearson International Airport, is seeking a Bartender to greet guests, craft beverages, and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

You will mix drinks using recipes, take orders, handle cash, maintain bar setup, and ensure compliance with liquor regulations. A minimum of one year bartending experience and a Smart Serve certificate are required; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• One year bartending experience required with appropriate state/federal/local training.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Smart Serve Certificate required.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests.
• Math skills to operate a cash register, make change, total checks, and manage cash drops.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate POS procedures to pre-check, order, and close out a check.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods.
• Must obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Use recipes and portion control to mix, garnish, and present drinks.
• Input orders into register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest.
• Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar at all times.
• Maintain stock, cut and store fresh garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Adhere to liquor regulations pertaining to minors and intoxicated guests at all times.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
