Jazz is hiring Aircraft Tow Operators!

Are you interested in aviation? Do you enjoy working outdoors and operating heavy equipment? If yes, this entry-level position as an Aircraft Tow Operator could be ideal for you!

What will you do?

When aircraft are not flying, they are moved from gates to maintenance hangars or other locations. As an Aircraft Tow Operator, you will be responsible for positioning aircraft on live taxiways and runways, maintaining radio communication with ATC Ground Control and Operations Coordinators. You will also operate airport equipment such as Jet Bridges and Gate Power units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tow aircraft and Brake Riding aircraft
  • Support aircraft setup and tow operations
  • Operate ground support equipment
  • Operate Jet Bridges and gate support equipment
  • Follow safety policies and procedures, prioritizing safety for yourself, colleagues, passengers, and assets
  • Maintain safety standards via the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate ground vehicle equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Radio License (ROC)
  • Experience with heavy equipment or multi-axle trailers is an asset
