Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and analyze aircraft systems like avionics, propulsion, hydraulics, electrical, and flight controls.
• Perform system modeling and simulations for performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and customer standards.
• Lead and support system validation and verification tests.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to milestones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers for system integration and testing.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers.

Required Competencies:

• Experience with aircraft systems design and analysis.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Experience with system testing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate with teams.

Preferred Competencies:

• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of aircraft safety processes (ARP 4761).
• Understanding of electrical and avionics systems.
• Project management experience or certification.
• Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with latest aerospace trends like electric aircraft and autonomous systems.

Miscellaneous:

• Remote work possible; hybrid in Montreal.
• Travel may be required within North America.
• English proficiency necessary for communication with international clients.
