Job summary

Aviation Starlink is seeking a structure/mechanical technician for a hybrid role reporting to the maintenance director. You will perform routine maintenance tasks and, depending on qualifications, may certify work post-maintenance and rectify defects.

The role involves inspecting, repairing, overhauls and modifications on aircraft and components, with emphasis on structures and proper documentation in English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, repairs, overhauls and modifications on aircraft, their components, equipment and structures.
  • Carry out structural inspections to identify damage, cracks, corrosion, deformations and other anomalies.
  • Perform repairs, modifications, assemblies, adjustments, drilling and riveting of structural components in accordance with approved technical data.
  • Participate in rectifying deficiencies identified during inspections or reported by crews.
  • Perform maintenance work in accordance with the Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM), company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform, when required and according to held authorizations, the certification of work carried out and complete regulatory documentation.
  • Collaborate with the various maintenance teams and provide support according to operational needs.
  • Perform any other related task entrusted by the maintenance team.

Aviation Starlink is looking for a structure/mechanical technician for a hybrid role.

Your role

Under the responsibility of the maintenance director, your role will consist of carrying out routine maintenance tasks planned by your coordinator.

Depending on your qualifications, you may perform post-maintenance aircraft certification and take charge of rectifying defects noted during routine inspections or reported by a crew after a flight.

Main responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, repairs, overhauls and modifications on aircraft, their components, equipment and structures.
  • Carry out structural inspections to identify damage, cracks, corrosion, deformations and other anomalies.

Required qualifications and requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and operations;
  • S License (an asset);
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status;
  • Eligible to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC);
  • Class 5 driver's license.
