As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for operating, testing, modifying, troubleshooting, repairing, and inspecting all aircraft systems. You must proficiently operate and understand a wide variety of test equipment and tooling, and interpret technical manuals and engineering data to support your tasks.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Perform system and/or function checkouts of components (static checks, hydraulic function checks, flight control rigging, fuel system checks, oxygen, etc.) following approved maintenance procedures or FAA requirements.
  • Remove and replace components on the aircraft according to approved procedures or FAA requirements.
  • Pay close attention to detail, ensuring every part is inspected, installed, and function-tested according to procedures.
  • Complete assigned work, including troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning systems safely, following OSHA and company safety procedures within scheduled timeframes.
  • Accurately log work orders and attendance using the Labor Data Collection System.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate with at least 2 years of experience, or no A&P but 4 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and precision equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work on maintenance stands, lifts, ladders, and in confined spaces in unusual positions.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and enter/exit aircraft using steps or stairs.
  • Must not be allergic to jet fuel, oils, hydraulic fluids, or cleaning solvents.
