Aircraft Mechanic

Job Description

Contractors will be performing a heavy check on Boeing 737-300 aircraft, a project that has been planned for over a year. This is a comprehensive 3-month heavy maintenance check.

Responsibilities

  • Perform heavy maintenance checks on Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of aircraft systems.
  • Utilize mechanical tools effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance plans and protocols.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of heavy maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read English plans.
  • Ownership of personal mechanical tools.
  • Proficiency in spoken English or French.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience on Boeing 737-200 or 300 is an asset.
  • Bilingual in English and French is advantageous.

Work Environment

The work environment is a slightly older maintenance hangar with a bilingual workforce (French/English). The team consists of 10-15 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs), primarily mechanics. The dress code requires clean work clothes and steel toe boots. There are two possible shifts: 5x8 (Monday to Friday) from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, or 4x10 (Monday to Thursday) from 7 AM to 5:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mirabel, Quebec.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
