Summary

The successful candidate will support maintenance activities and undertake aircraft maintenance on several aircraft based in Dorval.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure aircraft are maintained according to manufacturer and company recommendations and regulations;
  • Communicate with Dispatch / Operations regarding flight information and changes; review aircraft status and advise management of potential downtime affecting schedules;
  • Evaluate Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Service Letters, and SILs;
  • Prepare quotes for future maintenance for review by the Maintenance Production Manager;
  • Conduct daily inspections, pre-flight and post-flight activities to ensure airworthiness and on-time departures;
  • Complete work order entries promptly;
  • Participate in scheduled heavy maintenance;
  • Provide AOG support as needed;
  • Use approved equipment and materials, maintaining high workmanship standards;
  • Generate maintenance task cards for upcoming activities;
  • Support administrative activities for the Maintenance Production Manager;
  • Participate in hangar activities including aircraft movements and equipment maintenance (6S, health and safety, etc.);
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Completion of all Transport Canada exams;
  • Valid AME license, category M2, with 5-8 years of experience;
  • Availability to work shifts during major projects;
  • Strong troubleshooting skills;
  • Proficiency with computer systems for aircraft and engine data interrogation and download;
  • Experience in corporate aviation preferred;
  • Valid passport required;
  • Minimum Grade 12 and successful completion of a Transport Canada-approved Aircraft Maintenance Technical training program.
