Aircraft Mechanic

Job Description

We have an immediate opening for permanent flight service engineers (AMEs) within the Pre-Flight Department. The successful candidate will perform all operations, including functioning and engine run, between the final assembly and acceptance of the aircraft by the customer. The role involves working on the aircraft from early stages of development through to final assembly and completing all necessary inspection reports and documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform all operations including functioning and engine run between final assembly and aircraft acceptance by the customer.
• Work on all stages of aircraft building from early development to final assembly.
• Complete all necessary inspection reports and related documents.
• Ensure thorough knowledge of procedures.

Essential Skills

• Valid M2 License.
• 3+ years experience in a similar role.
• Solid interpersonal skills and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in rigging, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

We offer overtime pay after 8 hours per day, shift premiums for afternoon and night shifts, and additional pay for weekend work (Saturday at 1.5 times regular pay and Sunday at double time). Employees working at the Waterloo location are eligible for a travel premium, calculated based on the distance from their home.

Work Environment

Our Client is Canada's premier OEM with a large, clean, and bright shop floor production environment. This is a permanent off-shift position with availability required for either the afternoon shift (3:00 pm to 11:30 pm) or the night shift (10:00 pm to 6:00 am).

This is a Permanent position based out of Mississauga, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $102000.00/yr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Mississauga, ON.
