Title: Furnishings Technician - Line Maintenance
Job Details
Purpose of Position: To provide maintenance and repair services for aircraft interior equipment and appliances, as well as to perform other related duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to Maintenance Crew Chief(s) and Supervisor on issues affecting the serviceability of aircraft/components.
- Facilitate repair, inspection, removal, and installation of aircraft interiors and associated components.
- Fabricate items for aircraft ground support and interior, such as prop ties, cargo nets, and safety equipment, following approved Engineering orders and drawings.
- Record repair abnormalities and raise Maintenance Irregularity Reports (IR) as per GMP07.
- Coordinate part requirements with Maintenance Crew Chief, Supervisor, and Supply Management.
- Investigate repairs for removed components using approved data sources like CMM, RD, EO.
- Recommend process adjustments to improve efficiency and reduce rework.
- Ensure work complies with approved data, using appropriate methods and tools (Trax).
- Familiarize with Transport Canada and company manuals and documents.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Adhere to policies and procedures prioritizing safety for yourself, coworkers, and customers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in maintaining and repairing aircraft interior equipment and appliances preferred.
- Training or experience with industrial sewing machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and drawings.
- Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
