PAL Technical Services Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Job Description

PAL Technical Services, a division of PAL Aerospace, is a leader in full-service aircraft maintenance, including modifications, line maintenance, and repair, overhaul services. We serve both domestic and international markets and manage all aircraft maintenance activities within the PAL Group of Companies. We offer diverse career opportunities at our Canadian and international bases.

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for Certifying and Non-Certifying Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our Maintenance, Avionics, and Structures teams. Join our team of dedicated aviation professionals working on innovative aircraft modification programs.

Our Operations

PAL Group provides comprehensive aircraft design and customization services, configuring various aircraft types to meet client needs. Our Maintenance, Avionics, and Structures AMEs work from engineered drawings to fabricate and install aircraft modifications, including missionizing aircraft for search and rescue, surveillance, and conversions.

Shifts

Day shifts are standard, with evening shifts as required.

Location

Our base is located in St John’s, NL.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course completed or equivalent experience (e.g., ICS program)
  • Preferred: M1/M2, S, or E license or equivalent rating
  • Experience in flight line operations is an asset
  • Experience with aircraft such as Dash 8 series, ATR-42/72, King Air 200/300, DHC-6 Twin Otter is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada Regulations
  • Flexibility to work all shifts and adapt to operational fluctuations
