Job description

Coulson Aviation is a global aerial firefighting company that operates in Canada, the USA, Australia, and Chile.

Coulson Aviation operates with a fleet of large aerial firefighting aircraft consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With our fleet, we can run rapid aerial fire suppression, including initial attack and extended attack protocols.

Coulson Aviation is a part of the Coulson Group of companies. We are a growing organization that has been in business for 65 years. Due to our company growth and expanding footprint, we are looking to add Structures Technicians to our team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR :

The Structures Technician maintains or modifies different types of aircraft to aviation standards. The incumbent possesses the ability to :

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Perform sheet metal and composite repairs to aircraft components.
  • Provide high quality workmanship with attention to detail.
  • Read and interpret drawings.
  • Follow instruction and work to industry standards.
  • Maintain a tidy work area and be able to keep accurate work records.
  • Be open to the idea of travel and working in and outside of Canada.
  • Ensure work sheets, logs, tracking updates and other required records are complete and submitted in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • AME (S) rated is preferred, however all levels of experience will be considered.
  • Approved training course completed is preferred (ICS also accepted).
  • Interpret Manuals / Drawings / Technical Data / Process standards.
  • Good hand skills.
  • Communication (spoken and written) and ability to take direction.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Reliable and punctual.

  • Although preferred, there is NO RELOCATION REQUIREMENT for this opportunity.

Compensation for this position will be competitive with market rates and based on experience.
