Job Title : Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - M2

Job Description

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (M2) plays a crucial role in ensuring aircraft are serviced, inspected, certified, and repaired to maintain airworthiness. Reporting to the Crew Chief and Maintenance Manager, this position involves performing mechanical maintenance and ensuring all tasks meet safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Service, inspect, certify, and repair aircraft to ensure airworthiness.
  • Carry out maintenance, repair, and modification on company and customer aircraft and aeronautical products.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Crew Chief or Management.
  • Assist in the instruction and supervision of 'on the job' training for Apprentice Mechanics.
  • Supervise, complete, and certify work performed by Apprentice Mechanics.
  • Complete and certify logbooks, worksheets, and task cards for work accomplished.
  • Ensure stock control procedures are maintained according to company policy.
  • Properly care for and handle company tooling, reporting unserviceable maintenance equipment to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensure safety precautions are observed by Apprentice Mechanics.
  • Monitor housekeeping and security of the premises.
  • Be knowledgeable about the locations and use of fire extinguishers and fire alarm boxes.
  • Attend training courses as required.
  • Familiarize with the Maintenance Policy Manuals (MPM), applicable Maintenance Control Manuals (MCM), and Minimum Equipment Lists (MEL).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Line maintenance experience (3-5 years minimum).
  • Experience with aircraft maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • AME M2 license
  • Must have Dash 8 Classic aircraft experience

  • This is a Contract position based out of Timmins, Ontario.
  • Fly in and fly out from anywhere in Canada on rotation schedule offered - 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
  • Contractor can choose to continue working through rotation schedule if desired
  • Weekly payroll
