Job summary

Summit Helicopters – Quebec Division is hiring a certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to maintain a Bell 412 helicopter for a new government air ambulance program. Immediate openings with September 2026 start.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hands-on helicopter maintenance experience.
• Experience on Bell 412 and/or Bell 212 helicopters is an asset.
• Valid Transport Canada AME M1/M2 licence.
• Valid Canadian passport and driver's licence.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail, decision-making ability, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on aircraft and their components.
• Carry out all maintenance activities in accordance with applicable airworthiness standards.
• Ensure all documentation related to assigned tasks is complete and accurate before submission.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with airworthiness requirements.
• Troubleshoot system failures and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Assist with structural and avionics repairs as required.
• Work closely with flight crew members to ensure aircraft availability 7 days a week, supporting a 12-hour daily operational schedule while maintaining the highest aviation safety standards.
• Collaborate closely with the maintenance team (three AMEs in total) to ensure aircraft availability according to the schedule outlined above. A sample work schedule is attached, offering the benefit of significant time off and vacation periods.

As a certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you will be responsible for maintaining a Bell 412 helicopter that supports the new government helicopter air ambulance program. Summit Helicopters – Quebec Division is seeking responsible, dynamic, and professional candidates who want to be part of the team establishing the foundation of this new program. Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on helicopter maintenance experience. Experience on Bell 412 and/or Bell 212 helicopters is considered an asset.
• A criminal record check will be required as part of the pre-employment screening process.
• Valid Transport Canada AME M1/M2 licence.
• Valid Canadian passport and driver's licence.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail, decision-making ability, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
